For all the offices these are a few coding tips before you add the New Codes in.

There are plans that are allowing additional visits for patients that have a systemic issues such as diabetes.  Have you gone over Delta, Cigna

Aetna and other plans to find that information out. That could bring one more office visit, prophy or scaling and varnish.  Don't loss out.

We will be hosting the updated E/M codes for medical billing within office visits that is changing for the New Year.  That will take place

this month.  Watch for your invitations

Consider limiting the use of problem focused limited oral evaluations D0140 as they can count towards the limited office visits.

The use of D9110 may be the best code to use when dealing with pain issues.  

Pulp vitality test D0460 is a stand alone code.  That means do not use with any other treatment.
